Built and launched crackerjack.live in my spare time: a marketplace where event organisers in India find, book and pay live performers (DJs, bands, singers, photographers), with artist profiles, booking requests, quotes and contracts.
30 sign-ups in the first two days
01 — The brief
Problem & outcome.
The problem
Event organisers in India had no simple way to find, book and pay live performers (DJs, bands, singers and photographers) with clear quotes, contracts and protection for both sides.
The outcome
Launched crackerjack.live with artist profiles, booking requests, quotes and contracts. It reached 30 sign-ups (20 artists, 10 organisers) in the first two days after launch.
I designed a held-payment flow: the organiser pays up front and the fee is released to the artist only after both sides confirm the show. Around it sit tiered cancellation refunds, disputes, bill-splitting across up to 8 people, and “Jack”, an AI assistant that plans an event within budget.
